CURIOUS BEAGLE PUPPY GETS HIS HEAD STUCK IN A BRICK WALL

A curious Beagle puppy got his head stuck in a brick wall before being rescued by firefighters.

Jeremy the Beagle got himself trapped in a garden wall on May 7 at his home in Brierley Hill, Dudley.

The four-month-old puppy's owner called West Midlands Fire Service for help getting the pooch out after around 30 minutes.

Video footage posted by the fire service team shows Jeremy with his head stuck in a gap between bricks.

It only took the rescue team a minute to set the pup free, according to the fire service.

The crew had covered his head and ears in a protective cover to help get him out safely and used 'manual manipulation'.

They said he was in 'good spirits' when the team left but recommended to his owner that he was checked over by a vet.

Watch Manager Brett Mortimer said: “We deal with all manner of incidents and a job like this is about quick-thinking and care of the animal.'

He added: “I’m proud of my team, who showed quick-thinking to help an animal in distress.

'Despite his ordeal, Jeremy is said to be doing well at home. There was no obvious sign of injury, and he was in good spirits when we left the scene.”
