TEFI PESSOA GRACES THE MET GALA RED CARPET IN A WHITE GOWN WITH SHEER LACE

Tefi Pessoa, otherwise known as @hellotefi by her 1.7 million followers on TikTok, graced the carpet of this year’s Met Gala. The Colombian-Brazilian social media personality was invited to the event on behalf of TikTok. She wore a white gown by Cinq à Sept, with a flowing lace train and matching sheer ruffled sleeves. Peeking out from the bottom of her dress was a pair of metallic silver pumps.

Her hair was left down in a glamorous side part, with her dark brown locks spilling down her back in loose waves. Her makeup look consisted of a smoky eye with a sharp winged liner and some added glitter for a hint of sparkle. Her lips were a glossy, soft pink.

“From sédanos to the met gala,” she captioned her Instagram post sharing the photos of herself in her gown before heading to the event. Her followers showered her with support in the comments.

“The sédanos to met gala pipeline,” one user commented, referencing the Hispanic supermarket.

In a piece written for Medium in 2022, Pessoa talked about growing up Latina.

“My name is Estefania Vanegas Pessoa,” she began the piece.

“My mom went to an American school in Medellín, and went to college in Maryland. Both my parents and grandparents voted in every election. I was an American, first generation Latina. I was both. I was more than both, I was many things. I was someone my family was proud of, I was someone my family loved so much that they told me about where they came from. They wanted me to know what they were made of: the food, the music, the company we keep. They talked to me about the wars, the corruption, the loss, the memories, the friendships, the churrasco, the country club, the vacations in Cartagena, the beaches in Rio, the granadilla, the lulo, the samba, the cumbia.”
